I build websites for businesses around Cornwall. Cafés, barbers, repair shops, market traders, takeaways — mostly places with a door you can walk through and someone behind the counter who knows your name.

Here's the thing worth saying plainly: I'm a small business myself. Kernow Pages is one person. There's no team behind me, no office, no account manager. When you email, it's me who reads it, and it's me who builds the site.

That cuts both ways, and I'd rather you knew which. It means you deal with the person doing the work, you get straight answers, and nothing gets lost being passed between departments. It also means that if I'm heads-down finishing someone else's site, I might take a day to come back to you rather than an hour. If that ever happens, bear with me — I promise you're not being ignored.

What I can promise is that I'll do everything I can to help, and I'll be honest with you about what I can't. If your job is too big for me, or you'd genuinely be better off with something off the shelf, I'll tell you that rather than take the money.

I got into this the same way most people do: I needed a site for my own business, couldn't find anyone who'd do it properly for sensible money, so I learned. Then the shop next door asked. Then the one after that.

Everything is built by hand, one file at a time. No page builders, no bloated templates, nothing that needs a monthly subscription to some company in California just to change your opening hours.

What I won't do

Lock you in. Charge you for a five minute change. Bury the phone number three clicks deep. Fill the page with stock photos of people in an office in a city that isn't this one.

And I won't sell you a site you don't need. If a well set-up Google listing and a Facebook page would do the job, I'll tell you that instead.
